Every week features a different theme filled hour with stories, crafts and events. This program is always FREE with no registration required.

"Around Town" Book Club
Thursday, January 26 - 7:00 PM at Larry's Pizza.
The title for this months book is "Kindred Spirits" by Sarah Strohmeyer. Copies are available for check out at the library. This is a co-ed club, and new members are welcome anytime. Those who have not had the chance to read the monthly selection are welcome to attend and catch up. Monthly selections are decided on at each gathering by those in attendance.

Mt. Sterling Monthly Movie Matinee

Enjoy the recent release of a family friendly movie. Families and daycare providers are encouraged to attend. This event is always FREE with no registration required. FREE popcorn and lemonade refreshments served.

Ladies Night Out
Join us again Monday, January 30 at 6:30 PM
Featuring hot release and box office smash "The Help" on the big screen.
Among our most popular events, enjoy a fun, recent release and a potluck social time! This event is FREE with no registration required. Popcorn and drinks served.

Victorian Sweetheart Tea at Ben & Joy's
Sunday, February 19 at 3:00 PM
The Friends of the Library will host this event in the Angel Room. Servers will be dressed in Victorian era clothing and/or hats. Enjoy your choice of flavored teas, homemade Strawberry Victorian Pie, and assorted tea sandwiches. Show your sweetheart some love, or come and enjoy the ambiance for yourself! Wearing your own Victorian era clothing and/or hat is optional. All proceeds benefit the Library.

New! History Roundtable

The first Roundtable was a huge success- join us in February with another guest Speaker. Details to be announced soon. This program is free, and no registration is required.


Friends of the Mt. Sterling Public Library

Monthly meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM, except December and when otherwise noted. New members are welcome anytime. There is no membership fee. Meetings are open to the public and new members are needed.

*OPEN VOLLEYBALL*
TUESDAY NIGHTS AT 7:30 PM
Join us at the Mt. Sterling Community Center for lots of fun and exercise. A $1.00 donation for each day's participation to help cover the utility costs during gym usage is appreciated. This marks the 3rd consecutive year for volleyball, and more participants are needed.. If you would like to be notified of cancellations please call the library to be put on the list.

A SATURDAY STORE IN THE LIBRARY
Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Run by the Friends of the Library (FOL), a variety is available for purchase in the miniature display case. Proceeds benefit library materials and programs.

RECYCLING FUNDRAISER
The Library now has a paper recycling bin available for public use at the edge of our parking lot located on Water Street. Everyone is encouraged to recycle their PAPER MATERIALS by sharing our bin. This is a FUNDRAISER for the library, and all help to fill up the library's paper recycling bin is appreciated!

Mission Statement: The Mount Sterling Public Library will provide the means to make life long learning for all patrons possible; provide for recreational reading, viewing and listening needs; provide patrons with traditional and state of the art technologies to find, evaluate and use information; and to explore and better understand their personal heritage.

You say you don't have your library card yet? Now you can register online and it's easier than ever!
Simply follow these directions:
Click on the left tab titled "Check your account"
Click on the tab below right that says "I don't have a Library Card"
Proceed to complete the next five lines. A pin number must be a minimum of four numbers.
You must visit the library anytime within the next 30 days with a picture ID. Upon bringing in your ID, a Librarian will assist in completing your library card application. In the meantime, once you have created your temporary account online, you are able to request 1 item until your picture ID is on file.
