STANDARD PROGRAMS INCLUDE:

Story Time

Story Time targets children in the age range of 2-5 years of age. It begins at 10:30 A.M. every Friday throughout the school year.

Story Time gives children a unique way to connect with books and stories. It is much more than just reading a book aloud. We integrate crafts, music and parties to make books come alive and to make learning fun.

After School Program

This program was new in the winter and spring of 2009. It was held at the library for many weeks. At the conclusion of the program at the library, we moved it to the Midway Elementary school for the remainder of the school year.

Summer Reading Program

Our Summer Reading Program promises fun for all ages every year. Adults and children will are able to connect and enjoy spending time together while enjoying new stories and story tellers, weekly performers as well as creative and innovative crafts and more. See our calendar for a complete list of programs and times.

Meadowview Outreach Program

This program takes our staff to the Senior Citizens complex (Meadowview) in the village and brings them entertainment, guest speakers, crafts, and allows them the opportunity to have reading and viewing materials delivered to them.  Seniors at the complex are able to call ahead and request materials for check-out prior to the visit.  Staff bring fun and opportunity to the seniors once a month, with a well-thought-out and planned theme/purpose. The program runs throughout the year except for the summer months.

Library Tours

The Library offers tours throughout the year for free to school and daycare classes, citizen groups, and tourists.  Our library is an architectually historical Carnegie building that draws people from around the country to view.
