‘Around Town’ Book Club Annual Christmas Party Great Fun

The ‘Around Town’ held up to their tradition of meeting at the Deercreek State Park Lodge for the annual Christmas party. To kick off the night, a book discussion was held to talk about Seven Days of Us, by Francesca Hornak. The group all agreed they enjoyed this story.

As the group enjoyed some tasty Christmas themed desserts, they also played several games, garnering nearly all in attendance a game prize.

A final game was played in which each person chose a gift-wrapped book and decided if to keep it or trade with someone else. A lot of fun was had by all in attendance.

The next meeting will take place at the library on the main level at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27. The book to discuss will be Gingerbread, by Helen Oyeyemi. Copies are available at the library now. New members are always welcome. There are no membership dues to join this group. The ‘Around Town’ Book Club reads a variety of genre’s, including but not limited to Fiction, Historical Fiction, Western, Science Fiction, Christian Fiction, Non-Fiction, Biography and Autobiography, Young Adult, Mysteries, Dystopian, and a host of other genres.
