Make a Tax-deductible Donation to Your Library!
Mt. Sterling Public Library began its second century of service to the residents of Madison, Fayette, Pickaway, and Franklin Counties 2014. Without donations to supplement the library’s budget, the library would not be able to accomplish its goals and mission. Support from local residents, businesses, and organizations allows the library to provide quality services that benefit all library users and the community.
Mt. Sterling Public Library accepts monetary donations of any size. All donations are tax-exempt. Donations may be earmarked for specific wishes when possible. You can either deliver your donation to the front desk of the library or mail it to:
Mt. Sterling Public Library
60 W. Columbus St.
Mt. Sterling, OH 43143
Checks may be made payable to the Mt. Sterling Public Library. Be sure to ask for a receipt or request a donation letter from the director when placing your donation.
The library does accept donations for its circulating collections. The library cannot add all materials to its collection. However, the items not used by the library are given to other organizations or placed on the shelves in the lobby for other people to take and use. The library staff are not able to value material donations for tax purposes. Donors would need to contact the taxing authorities or a Certified Public Account to determine how to value the donation.
For questions about donations, please contact the Director, Steve Brindza, at 740-869-2430 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
