TORKS on the Library Lawn & Ice Cream Truck Provided a Double the Treat

A big thank you to all who participated in our Summer Reading program this summer, whether it be by logging in books read or by attending any of the many programming events and activities we provided this summer for our community. Also a shout out to our Friends of the Library group for paying for the visit from the Ninja Fuel Ice Cream Truck and all the free ice cream!

TORKS (The Ohio radio Kontrol Society) is a non-profit R/C Club organization that flies model aircraft. They put on a ground show on Mt. Sterling Public Library’s lawn. The TORKS organization also is a Chapter of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). Come see some amazing aircraft and learn more! The Ninja Fuel Ice Cream truck joined us at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate the end of summer library events before school begins again. Mt Sterling Friends of the Library provided the free ice cream for all at this event.

The TORKS demonstration on the library lawn was held Saturday, August 13 at 10:30 a.m. To wrap up our Summer Reading Program, we will also had the Ninja Fuel Ice Cream Truck visiting us at 11:00 a.m. Tickets for free ice cream were handed out inside the library and additional ice cream was available to purchase by attendees.
