Mini Pumpkin Paint Contest Winners Announced!

To celebrate National Friends of the Library week from October 18-24, Mt. Sterling Friends of the Library provided Fall Grab-N-Go bags for adults and children with a miniature pumpkin, paint set, and a pumpkin shaped sugar cookie while supplies lasted. All Grab-N-Go bags that were picked up and these are our winners from the mini-pumpkin painting contest. Everyone who came in to get one were to participate in the mini pumpkin painting contest. Participants were able to use the paint kit provided or their own paint or markers. We asked participants to send a photo of the painted pumpkins to our library Facebook page (Facebook.com/mtsterlingpubliclibrary) via private message, DM to our Instagram page (Instagram.com/MtSterlingPublicLibrary), or email it to reece.melissa.b@gmail.com Winners are listed in the categories of Scariest, Funniest, and Most Original. Each category winner will receive a gift certificate from either Mad Hatter, Sterling Pharmacy, or Urban Pineapple, with the pumpkin voted overall winner receiving a gift certificate from Two Hands Coffee Shop and also having their winning pumpkin printed on a facemask from. This contest was open to adults and children of all ages.

Scariest – Jaxson Stewart (Age 7)

Funniest – Eden Barns (Age 6)

The Friends of the Library provided this fun Grab-N-Go bag as a fun, family-friendly fall activity to enjoy while promoting National Friends of the Library week. Mt. Sterling Friends of the Library is a non-profit group that was established 13 years ago and supports our historical library by providing promotional events and activities throughout the year. The Friends of the Library work to support, enhance, sponsor, and provide supplies, programming, materials and equipment that helps alleviate normal budgetary constraints on our beloved library, the cornerstone of our community.
