ODNR Naturalist Visited the Library

Deer Creek Naturalist Rylee held a fun and educational presentation on the different mammals that can be found at our local State Park.  She brought pelts from a white striped skunk, an opossum, a raccoon, an eastern grey squirrel and a red fox. Rylee also discussed their physical characteristics, foraging, eating habits, and other behaviors. The audience asked the local Naturalist many interesting questions about the animals, which led to conversations about other mammals, birds, spiders, and recent local bear sightings. Rylee is a wonderful source of information and we are thankful she visited to share her knowledge!
