Storytime Mondays are Here! – Storytime Mondays returned as of Monday, February 5!  This program is a great socializing experience for preschoolers before heading off to kindergarten. Get them exposed to other groups of children and learn beginner and age-appropriate crafts with fun storybooks in a reading circle. Also a great way for other parents, grandparents, and caregivers to make friends who card for like aged children.

Bring your littles to the Library Storytime on Mondays, at 10:30 a.m. Children ages 2-5 are invited to join us for stories, crafts, and other surprises. No registration is required. Held in our community room on the lower level B2. Adult caregiver must be present. Daycare providers are welcome.

At a September Storytime event, we celebrated National Fire Prevention Week by going to Tri-County Joint Fire District Station 491 in Mt. Sterling. After a reading of ” No Dragons for Tea” (a book about Fire Safety for Kids and Dragons) by Jean Pendiwol and Martine Gourbault, we took a walk to the Fire Station where Lt. Zach Graham spoke about fire safety, Stop Drop and Roll, and using 911 correctly.  The Storytime class brought a signed card to present to the Station.
