2025 Victorian Tea

Mt. Sterling Friends of the Library are taking table reservations for the 2025 Annual Victorian and Dolly Plus Me Tea. Tables seat up to 8 and may be reserved.

Due to ongoing mechanical difficulties with a malfunctioning landline, please direct all communication regarding reservations for tables or fittings to Casey O’Neill via EMAIL to caseyon@gmail.com.

Emails are being monitored and answered daily. We apologize for any inconvenience and greatly appreciate your understanding.

Reservations are not required but are recommended for large groups to ensure seating together.

This year the Tea will be held at the Mt. Sterling Community Center for the first time, to allow for more space as this event has outgrown our previous location. The Community Center is located at 164 E. Main St., Mt. Sterling, OH 43143.

THE Friends of the Library would like you to know everything offered at this year’s event.

In the words of the Chairwoman, Casey O’Neill:

We can seat eight per table. We are serving finger sandwiches with ham salad, chicken salad, colored cream cheese, and cucumber; plus, scones, grapes and various sweets such as cookies or eclairs or creme puffs. Pink lemonade and variety of teas. Silent auction, boutique with vintage and decorative collectibles, Dolly Store with dolls, doll clothes, accessories, furniture, and books. Craft table to make souvenir to take home. Hats to borrow for the afternoon. Selfie station. Door prize winners displayed on south wall. Silent auction winners displayed on south wall. Theme Culture in America 1861-1865. Guest speaker Matt Goodman reenacting Union officer. Centerpieces display authors, musicians and artists of the era. Display tables with dressed dolls and with Civil War artifacts on loan from Community Museum. Each guest to receive corsage, lavender sachet, and booklet on our theme.
