The State Library of Ohio will bring it’s Mobile Technology Training Center back to the Mt. Sterling Public Library for another set of interesting and informative technology based workshops.  Patrons who sign up are encouraged to use their own devices as long as operating systems and applications are up-to-date.  Otherwise, devices will be available onsite. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, as seating is limited.  Please call or visit the library to sign up for a session now. Sign up for the workshops while spaces are available.  Call the library at 740.869.2430, or drop in.

10:30 AM. – Cloud Computing

Offering a look into how software is being delivered, as well as discussing the leaders in cloudbased storage for the individual patron. The course is designed to give a fundamental understanding of what cloud computing is, and how users in the 21st century are going to use this new technology in their daily professional and  personal lives.

1:00 PM. – Android Audiobooks & Streaming Video

Focusing on downloading and usage of the OverDrive Media Console app, initial setup, individual library setup, search filtering, downloading of audiobooks, and the built-in functionality of the OverDrive audio player using a step-by-step walkthrough approach for users. This course then walks through how to access Streaming Video.
